Rasta Mani

I wanted to do this mani for 2 reasons. First I love these colors together & second I love the technique that I used on all but my accent nail. I should have taken a picture of the actual action but didn't think about it at the time. I will just try to explain how I accomplished this look. You can use any brand of polish that you wish. I just put drops of green, yellow & red on the nail in random order. I then just used a medium nail art brush, dipped the tip in nail polish remover & swirled the polish around until I got the look I wanted. I did the same technique inside the peace sign. Cleaned up the cuticles & used Butter London top coat.

Have you ever tried this technique? What colors did you use? How did it turn out.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

The ZOYA Nail Polish Exchange is BACK for Earth Day 2013!

Once again, Zoya is helping you do a little spring cleaning with the return of the Earth Day Zoya Nail Polish Exchange* for 2013. Clean out your nail polish wardrobe and get rid of old nail polish that may not be BIG5FREE (Free of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP and Camphor) and exchange it for a greener alternative - long lasting, award winning, healthy ZOYA Nail Polish Bottles!

See full details and CODE on our site http://www.zoya.com/content/38/category/Earth-Day-Nail-Polish-Exchange-Zoya.html

I missed the Zoya Earth day exchange last year. Can't wait to pick some new colors out this year. Any suggestions? Any colors that you think I can't live without? If you don't have Faye or Aurora, I would suggest you add those to your collection. Those are my favorites of the ones I own. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Please visit my other Social Networks. Easter Mani

I hope everybody had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Sorry this is so late. I haven't felt well lately. Here is the mani I did for Easter. I used my Lime Crime polish for the base coats, painting each finger a different pastel color. I'm in love with the Lime Crime set. If it isn't in your collecting yet, What Are You Waiting For? ;) The formula is amazing & the color payoff is amazing! The rest of the mani was done using acrylic paints. Enjoy.

I WON!

Well, I did it! I won the Pure Ice Nail Art contest along with 9 other amazing nail artists. I was so surprised when I saw my name posted on the Facebook of Pure Ice Cosmetics. There were tons of amazing designs & I am so glad I wasn't the judge in this contest. There are 100 bottles of random Pure Ice nail polish on a UPS truck on it's way to me. Not sure what I am going to do with all of that polish. I guess I will share some & have my sweetheart build me another nail polish rack. Thank honey for volunteering. ;0)

The Picture with all the polish is from Pure Ice's FB & is all of the polish before they boxed it up to be shipped to the winners. Looks like polish heaven!
