Zoya Blaze

Dear all readers, I finally found it! I've found the queen of all nail colors. I recently went on the Zoya website and noticed they were giving away the bottle of 18k Real Gold Flakes away for FREE! I was thinking... Wow I love free stuff. All I had to do was purchase 3 other bottles of Zoya nail polish & I would get this $35 bottle of Gold Flakies for free! What a deal. So I had to rush thru & figure out what colors I wanted before the deal ran out. So not knowing what I was looking for or having nothing in my wish list, I was beginning to panic. I knew I wanted a green, so I added a green polish to my cart. Came across a purplish shiney color, clicked add then wanted a red glitter, so added Blaze to my cart then the 18k gold polish to my cart & phew I did it! Just in time. Total $24.00 with free shipping. Yippee. I totally pumped!

Received my stuff yesterday. The gold flakes is kinda cool. The green Zoya Invanka is very pretty. Good score.. Zoya charla I think it's called, bummer I think I already own it but I must have liked it to ordered it twice. THEN I took out this gorgeous glitter red with other colored fine glitter in it. A glow comes around it & I'm sure I heard "lala" singing when I was looking at it! It is the most gorgeous color ever!! This IS A DEFINITE MUST HAVE in anybody collection. I hope my pics do it at least 1/2 the justice it deserves! It goes on amazing, it's smooth & makes the nails look amazing! So I guess it's just AMAZING! Look for yourself. Enjoy!

Cherry Floral Mani

I hadn't worn my favorite polish, AEngland Tristam, for a while so I decided to dust it off & paint my nails. I love this brand & color so much. The consistency is just so amazing. I wish all polish was made like AEngland. It goes on beautifully & always looks amazing even with just one coat.

I wore it for a day & was just playing around with the acrylic paint. I started painting cherries on my nails. I thought it looked ok so I kept going. Then painted the little white flowers on them. I thought they turned out pretty good so was going to take a picture & post to Instagram. After I took the picture I realized the white flowers kind of looked like cooked eggs sunny side up. ;0) hehe. So I decided to add the black dots to the inner center of the flower.
I liked how they turned out with the red & white up against the gorgeous background of the shiny Tristam.

I decided to enter them into my very first nail art contest on Instagram.

If you think I did an ok job I would appreciate it if you would go to Instagram, search #dontbenudynails & like my entry.

Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment. I would love your input & opinions.

Football Mani

Hello Blogger friends. I know it's been forever since I have posted anything on here. So I thought I would post something fun. My nephew has been a huge football fan since he was born & was born with a ball in his hand. This year he if finally old enough to play full contact football and he was so excited. So I decided to support him for his first game & do a football mani in his school colors.

Columbus Cougars!!

When all of the boys have played football throughout the years, our family have always yelled "Hit sum1", so I added that to my mani. I'm not sure how we all came up with it but we it's been said from generation to generation. ;0)

Sorry the cuticles look so rough.

July 4th Mani

Sorry I didn't post this yesterday. I have lost my camera cord Again! So I had to take this picture with my phone, thus the quality. I used my 3 magnetic polishes for all of the fingers except my ring finger. The ring finger I used Sinful Colors Under 18, Orly Sweet Peacock & a silver StripeRite. You will probably not believe this, because I didn't, but I had entire bottle of star polish from Nabi called Star Glitter. It took me forever to dig out just the silverish gold stars.

I would love for you to leave your blog link in the comments if you did a July 4th mani. I would love to see them.

Neon Cheetah Mani

As I was strolling thru the Internet I saw this adorable dress. I love the dress but knew I would never be able to fit my big butt in the gorgeous dress so I decided to take inspiration from this dress for my manicure.

This is the first time I have done the animal print because I know it has been done over & over but I thought it turned out ok. I received tons of compliments & since I only usually wear my manis for a day or two it was fine. The green wasn't as bright as the one in the dress but I wanted to try out my new Deborah Lippmann Almost Paradise green polish.

What's Your Shape?

I found this note about the shape of your nails & wanted to share it. Sorry I can't remember where I first saw it. I always thought I had round nails but according to this I have Oval nails. I think they are more round when I grow them out. My nails kind of have a mind of their own & do their own thing. I have recently cut them as they were looking a little shabby.
So .....

Below is a recent mani I tried with a makeup sponge. I put all the polishes on the sponge at once & placed it on my nails. It didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to but it was a very fast mani. It took about 5 mins, which I loved. Maybe will turn out better next time with different colors. As you can see I'm Oval!

A England's Tristam

This is the 2nd time I have posted this. The 1st time it got deleted when I tried to add the tags. I'm not sure how to do it with the new blog system. So if you have any tips I would love to hear them.

I could go without posting this swatch & telling you my opinion on A England Tristam. This polish is my new favorite polish of all time! If you haven't tried this brand or do not own a bottle of it, I honestly think you should get yourself one. If all of their polishes are like Tristam they are amazing also. This polish is the perfect consistency & goes on smoothly. In all my years of painting my nails I have never used polish as nice as Tristam. I received this as a birthday gift but I definitely think this is worth the $12.50 price tag. Which would usually be hard for me to say because I do think that is quite pricey for 1 bottle of polish, especially when you can go to the drugstore & buy 6 for that price. I usually would say don't pay more than $10 for a bottle unless it files, buffs & polishes your nails for you. ;0).
Not only is A England Tristam the cream of the crop of polishes, it is a gorgeous color. I wish I could share my bottle with all of you so you could see what I am talking about. I have to say a Huge thank you to Ashley for sending this to me. Without her I probably would have never tried this brand.

Thanks again to Ashley. If you haven't checked her blog out already, please do so & let her know I sent you. I would really appreciate it. Please just copy & past her link cuz I don't want to lose this post again. Thx so much.

Spring Flower Mani

I recently entered a contest on FB. The rules were to do a manicure using just nail polish & create it using your non-dominate hand. Since I am right handed I had to use my left hand do a spring floral manicure. I thought the contest was very unique and a great idea. I had never heard of a contest like this one before which is why I wanted to join in the fun. I was grateful my manicure didn't turn out that bad as I thought it was going to using my left hand. I didn't win so maybe I was wrong. ;0) Here it is. Tell me what you think!

I used Zoya Bevin as the base coat. Spoiled My Silicone Popped as the side swipe base, Funky Finger for the stripes & part of flowers, Essie Mint for other part of flower & Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow for the dots.

Incoco Nail Polish Appliqué's

I was sent some Incoco Nail Polish Appliqué's to try. I had not tried the true nail polish appliqués before this. I had only tried the nail stickers so I was unsure what to expect.
Each Incoco nail strip includes base, nail color & top coat all in one! So you get 3 in 1 when using these appliqués. They last up to 14 days depending on your lifestyle. Since they are made of nail polish you need to use polish remover when removing them from your nail.

This is what comes in the package of Incoco nail appliqués. (both above & below) the nail polish strips- above
Directions, file, cuticle pusher & polish remover pad- below

Since I hadn't used true nail polish strips before I was pleasantly surprised how simple it was to apply especially after the first one. I made sure to clean my nails really well & buff them because I wanted my manicure to last as long as possible. I was shooting for the 14 days that it claims to do.

I applied the gorgeous ones called Dream World. They are a gold glitter ombre design. As soon as I applied 1 I knew I was HOOKED! I LOVE THESE!! They feel amazing on. The glitter was smooth but looks amazing!

They were easy to apply. Because they are real nail polish they stretch which aides in applying them & making sure all areas of the nail is covered.

Hopefully you can tell in the picture that they have this awesome pinkish gold @the top & radiant down to a more pure gold color. They are so pretty. I'm really impressed with these nail strips. But the test is...
Do they last 14 days as they say they will?

I usually change my nail color at least every other day. So to keep these on for 14 days was going to be not only a challenge for the Incoco nail appliqués but for me!
I wore them 10 days & had to change my nail color! I was totally impressed that the Inococo nail strips beat me! They could have gone another 4 days!

I'm very impressed with Incoco Nail Appliqués and would definitely recommend them especially if you are in a hurry & don't have time for 2-3 coats of polish to dry! Like I said earlier, they out did me. 10 days was the max I could keep the same mani but I'm sure Inococo nail strips could have gone the 14 days they claim.

So in my honest opinion I really do think these are amazing & would definitely recommend them. They come in a variety of styles & designs. Please check out their website & try some for yourself. Let me know what you think. You can purchase them at Incoco

2 thumbs up from me & a huge thank you to Incoco for sending these to me & letting me try them. I was skeptical at first but now am in love so thanks so much!!

Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment. I would love your input & opinions.
